Rosemarie Rivera Spring Carnival - 2015

On Friday March 27, 2015, Rivera Elementary held is annual Spring Carnival. People from the community showed up in record numbers and helped the school raise over $2000 for the PTO funds. There was great food, music, carnival games (including the popular Soak-n-Wet), jumping castles, and a raffle to win a sweet bike. This carnival, and other events like it at Rivera, would not be possible without the tireless efforts of volunteer parents from the PTO and the staff members who volunteer their time. I am sure all would agree that seeing the students having fun and smiling was the best reward. Stay updated on www.riveraraptors.com for more events like this to come.

Ben's Bells

Jeannette MarĂ©, the founder of the Ben's Bell Project, paid a special visit to Rivera to celebrate over 5,000 "kind chains" with help from Gallego Elementary. Rivera and Gallego challenged each other to produce 1,000 kind chains and each school highly exceeded those expectations. Pictured is the staff of Rivera and Gallego, who will wear each others school shirts to show support.
